Lowell Ladd Director of Coaching USATF Level II Certified
Lowell Ladd has been running and coaching for many years. Coach Ladd has accomplished
much in his years in college and professional career. Ladd, a 12-time college
varsity letter winner, graduated from Division III Dickinson College. During
his tenure, he was a 6-time All Centennial Conference runner and 2-time Conference
Champion at 5000m.
Coach Ladd was a 2-time national championship qualifier and NCAA All-American
at 10,000m. In addition he was ECAC Champion at 5000m.
His professional career includes top finishes at major US road races and a
3rd place at the Cape Cod Marathon, the USATF New England Marathon Championships,
in 2000. He continues to train with the goal of making the Olympic trials marathon
and Olympic Games. Coach Ladd has logged over 30,000 miles in his career.
Coach Ladd formerly held the position of Head Men's and Women's Distance Coach
and Assistant Cross Country coach at Dickinson College before joining Myicoach
full time. During his time as coach he has coached countless All-Conference
and All-Regional athletes, as well as multiple athletes to National championships
and coached the women's team to their first cross-country national championship
in school history.
Lowell graduated with a BA from Dickinson College. He holds his BA degree in
History and has an MA in history from Shippensburg University. Coach Ladd
is a USATF Level II certified coach and has an in-depth knowledge of the
science of running. He has studied the techniques and philosophies of Jack
Daniels, Peter Coe, and others. He holds the position of Director of Coaching
with Myicoach.com and also coaches athletes registered with Myicoach.com.
